Fun Facts

What is your favorite thing to do in Baltimore?

  • I really love doing just about anything in/around Baltimore – I love how many water-adjacent spots there are and so many great festivals, sporting events, farmers’ markets, etc… it’s impossible to pick just one thing!

Where are you originally from?

  • Chicago

Do you have a pet?

  • No pets here but prior to moving my son and I had a chameleon named Soldier, and an iguana named Computer.  Luckily, I get to be an honorary aunt to all of our lovable PUSH pets that join the workouts

What do you do for work?

  • I am a Director of Special Education and a Clinical Social Worker and currently finishing my doctorate in education and my superintendent endorsement.  My career goal is to work in the federal education system

What do you like to do for fun?

  • Anything involving good food, good drinks, and good people. The introvert in me also highly enjoys solo mode, and am almost never without either my laptop, the paper, or a book.  I love live events, music festivals, etc. and June is just the best month to be out and about in Baltimore and DC with all of the Pride love and festivities in the air!

How long have you been a member of PUSH511?

  • Two years and counting!

If a workout was named after you, what movements would it include and how long is the workout?

  • Oh boy. Lol. It would definitely be a 30+ minute workout (because the longer I work, the better I feel when I’m done lol) and it would include a lot of body weight movements - burpees, pushups, GHDs, and definitely a running component/recovery. I love AMRAPS with variety and a dumbbell component (devil’s press, etc) for strength.  I’m also a gluten for core work so anything ab-related, I love to hate.

What is one thing you’ve achieved by becoming a member?

  • I absolutely feel that maintaining ‘committed club’ status is a major achievement and has contributed to my overall sense of personal accountability related to making fitness a part of my everyday life.  Also, through PUSH, I feel genuinely vested in the community and equally a part of it as well which was/is especially meaningful when you move your entire adult life somewhere new – PUSH made me feel like I had a place here/like I belonged

What is your secret power?

  • I have an insane capacity for visual recall. I can look around a cluttered basement I've never seen before, and someone could ask me a week later where any random object was located, and I would be able to tell you.

If an actor played me in a movie, who would it be and what sort of movie would it be?

  • Dwayne Johnson - and if they made the series Ballers into a movie, that would be my alter-ego fantasy life hahah. OR Scarlett Johansson in absolutely anything.
